Help our schools collect food for Souper Bowl of Caring, Jan. 16-31

WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- Lexington Two has a longstanding tradition of helping those in our community in need, and we are proud to announce our latest effort: the annual Souper Bowl of Caring, an event that started in Columbia but is now a nationwide campaign to tackle hunger.

Lexington Two is the first Lexington County public school district to have all of its schools as collection points for the food drive.  Our district campaign kicks off Thursday, January 16 and ends Friday, January 31.

Each Lexington Two school is being asked to collect nonperishable food items, especially canned goods. Our local food banks see increased demand over the holidays, leaving empty shelves come January. We hope our efforts can help them restock -- and we would welcome donations from our many community partners.

Food donations may be dropped off in donation boxes at any of our Lexington Two schools or the district office on Ninth Street. Even a small donation of just a few canned foods can can make a big difference.

Lexington Two joins neighboring Richland One in a district-wide collection effort.
