Lexington Two schools on eLearning Wednesday-Thursday, Jan. 22-23

WEST COLUMBIA, SC – Lexington Two schools will be on an eLearning day Thursday, January 23.

Lingering snow and ice is expected to refreeze Wednesday night and into the early morning hours Thursday, creating unsafe travel conditions, particularly on neighborhood and secondary roads. Right now, the weather forecast does not call for temperatures to get above freezing on Thursday until roughly midday, and only for a short period of time.

Schools are also on an eLearning day Wednesday, January 22, amid the winter storm.

Afternoon and evening activities are canceled both Wednesday and Thursday, including athletic events, extracurricular activities, after-school programs, and adult education classes.

Students’ assignments will be posted, and teachers will be available during virtual office hours Thursday, as outlined in our eLearning from the Home flyer.  You’ll find flyers on eLearning from the Home and our technology help desk here

We will continue to monitor road and travel conditions with local and county officials. We will plan to communicate the school day schedule for Friday, January 24, with families and staff by Thursday afternoon.

Thank you, and be safe.
