Services Offered

Individual Counseling - students, teachers, and parents may request counseling for their child. School Counseling services are short term and solution focused in nature. Counselors typically meet with a student for about 4-6 sessions before making other referrals. School counseling services are not a substitute for therapy. If your student needs therapy or other intensive services, we are happy to collaborate with you to make the appropriate referrals for those supports.

Classroom Curriculum - Monthly lessons are offered in each classroom to provide all students with knowledge of personal, social, academic, and career development, to promote their positive mental health, and to assist them in acquiring and using life skills. Some of the topics covered during classroom  counseling lessons include: emotional regulation, personal safety, diversity, academics, empathy, conflict resolution, bullying, and career development.

Small Group Counseling - Sessions are offered to help groups of students working on a shared task with similar issues. The group setting is an efficient way to serve many students and help them find support, encouragement, and skill building with their peers. Group sessions are offered periodically throughout the school year and address the current needs of the school population
